Bonnie L. Jablonski

Bonnie L. Jablonski, age 58, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at her home. She was born on April 18, 1949, in Owen-Withee, WI, the daughter of Paul and Virgean (Plaman) Rossow. Bonnie graduated from Pelican High School in Rhinelander and then attended a technical college. On February 12, 1969, Bonnie was united in marriage to Michael Jablonski in Wausau. After their marriage, Bonnie raised the children and volunteered at school with the kindergarten children. She later worked at Monroe Manor from 1982 until 1984 and then relocated to Grant County where she was employed at the Good Samaritan in Fennimore as an activity assistant for the past thirteen years. Bonnie enjoyed sewing, kitting and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Jablonski, Lancaster; two sons, Robert (Faye) Jablonski, Fairfield, CA; Chris (Launa) Jablonski, Blackduck, MN; one daughter, Jessica Hale, Lancaster; and eight grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, Arlyn Rossow.

There was no funeral service or visitation. Private family burial will take place at a later date.

Kenneth D. Jackson

Kenneth D. Jackson, age 80, of Burton, MI, entered his Heavenly home on December 10, 2013. Ken was born on March 31, 1933, to William and Maude Jackson in Applegate, MI. He married Margaret Niles on March 31, 1956. After 30+ years, Ken retired from General Motors Buick in 1996.

Ken is survived by his wife, Margaret; five sons, Troy, Todd (Joanna), Kip (Jolene), Kenny, and Robert; his siblings, Laura Watson of Croswell, Maryof Knoxville, TN, Doris (Don) Parker of Davison, John (Kitty) of Attica, Dennis (Nancy) of Fountain, FL, Karen (Vic)Wynkoop of Alger, and Linda (Elvis) Laminack of Youngstown,FL; 16 grandchildren, Kamen, Traven, Jayden, Keana, Sara (James), Michael, Anna, Kayt, Taylor, Josie, Lilly, Nicolas, Jake, Megan, Masun, and Anastasia; and 4 great-grandsons, Keenan, Jonny, and twins Jaden and Brandon.

He was proceeded in death by his brothers, Howard, Jim, and Gary; and brothers-in-law, Fred Watson and Chuck Harneck. Ken will be celebrating Christmas with Jesus this year!

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2013, at Trinity Assembly of God Church in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Visitation was from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Swartz Funeral Home in Flint, Michigan.

Merle Jamison

Merle Jamison, age 95, of Lancaster, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on January 16, 1913, in Beetown, the daughter of James and Vina (Burton) Duncan. In October of 1929, Merle was united in marriage to LeRoy Jamison in Dubuque. After their marriage, the couple resided in Beetown for a short time before moving a few miles outside of Lancaster in January of 1947. The couple farmed there for many years. Merle enjoyed working on the farm, raising chickens, gardening and canning. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and great-great-great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children: Zona Levins, East Dubuque, IL; Zena (Ted) Grattan, Lancaster; Vernetta Seippel, Lancaster; George (Diane) Jamison, Dubuque; and Charles Jamison, Lancaster; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Merle was preceded in death by her husband on June 21, 1977; two sons, LeRoy, Jr. and David; four brothers: Clyde, Lloyd, Jeff and Jim; two sisters: Belva Pascoe and Inga Reiser; three sons-in-law: Delbert Levins, Harold Chapman and Henry Seippel; her step-father, William Clauer; and one great-grandson, Tyler Houtakker.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Community Church in Lancaster with Pastor David Arevalo officiating. Burial was in Burns Cemetery, Beetown. Friends called on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Schwartz Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mary Janssen

Mary Grace Janssen, age 68, passed away peacefully onSaturday, October 31, 2015, surrounded by familyatGrant Regional Health Center inLancaster, WI. She was born onMay 20, 1947,inLancastertoWalterandCatherine (Reynolds) Leibfried. Marygraduated fromLancaster High schoolin1965.

On August 24, 1968, she was united in marriage to Rodger Janssen at St. Clement Church in Lancaster. They were happily married for47years.

Mary owned and operated the Arrow Inn Restaurant in Lancaster for 15 years where she touched the lives of many people. She was a wonderful listener and often provided a friendly ear and good advice. Mary enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She was an avid Badger, Packer and Brewer fan.

Sheis survived byhusband, Rodger; three loving sons: Rob (Tammy) of Dubuque, IA; Jay (Melissa) of Baraboo; Brian (Denise) of Lancaster; three grandchildren: Anna & Adam Janssen and Braeden Bausch; father-in-law, Robert Draves of Lancaster; three sisters: Catherine ''Kate'' (Larry ''Laker'' Schildgen) Schindler of Lancaster; Helen Krohn of Verona; and Joan (Leonard) Stich of Morrisville, PA.

She is also survived by sisters-in-law: Patti (Curtis) Busby of Fort Morgan, CO; Alonna (Phil) Pointon of Baraboo; many nieces and nephews.

Marywas preceded in death byher parents, Walter and Catherine; mother-in-law, Eileen (Potter) Draves; brother, Thomas Leibfried; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Marcella Leibfried, brother-in-law, Donovan Krohn; a niece, Sharon Krohn.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Reverend John Sasse officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Family and friends called on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. In lieu of plants and flowers a Mary G. Janssen Memorial Fund has been established.

Harriett M. Jeidy

Harriett M. Jeidy, age 84, formerly of Lancaster, Bagley, and Prairie du Chien, died on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at the Lancaster Care Center. She was born on June 9, 1926, in Seneca, Crawford County, WI, the daughter of Ernest and Cynthia (Heisz) Messling. Harriett was united in marriage on October 19, 1944 to Bernard J. Jeidy in Sonoma, CA, and enjoyed forty-nine years together until his passing on April 18, 1993.

Survivors include two daughters: Bernadine (Grant) Porath, LaCrosse; Doris Dot (Mick) Millin, Bagley; six grandchildren: Tammy (Jim) Coorough, Milwaukee; Kelly Tichenor, Mt. Horeb; Shelley (Bob) Kellogg, LaCrosse; Jason (Jody) Millin, Mt. Hope; Diana Irish, Minneapolis; Kevin Raasch, LaCrosse; thirteen great-grandchildren: Scott, Jessica, Ashley, Lindsey, Lexi, Brittany, Nathan, Tyler, Garrett, Payton, Owen, Mackenzie, and Christian; two sisters: Julia Larmore, Dickeyville; and Bernice Cooper, Prairie du Chien; one brother, Robert (Ruth Ann) Messling, Mt. Sterling; sister-in-law, Marilyn Messling, Prairie du Chien; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Harriett was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers: Paulie, Kelly, Edwin Buddy, Roger and Ronnie Messling; an infant twin sister, Helen.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington with Pastor Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Burial was in Union Nagle Cemetery in Patch Grove Township. Family and friends called on Saturday, April 16, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Leo "Bud" Jensen

Leo A. Bud Jensen, age 83, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, at his residence. He was born February 14, 1930, in McGregor, IA, the son of Howard Pop and Ina (Gurkow) Jensen. He married Delores P. Dee Jamison on June 22, 1949, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.

Bud worked for Farley & Letcher in Dubuque. He later was the bar manager at the Downtown Inn, VFW Club and the Lancaster Country Club in Lancaster. Bud most recently enjoyed interacting with patrons while working at Downtown Liquors.

Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years Dee, his children, Diane (Greg Larsen), James (Vicki), Tracy (Gary Austin) Johnson, Tim (Lori), Jeff (Carla), and Steve (Denise), 16 grandchildren, Todd (Shayla Smith) Slaght , Nichole and Holly Niffenegger, Joshua (Erin) Jensen, Melissa (Jay) Janssen, Jesse (Ashley) Morgan, Erik Johnson, Abigail (Jordan Strub) Johnson, Michael (Michelle), Mark, Cameron, Jack, Jeremy, Jordan, Jon, and Jenna Jensen, 11 great grandchildren, a brother James (Lois), brother-in-laws, John Jamison, Claire Blackbourn and Pete Blum, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sons Duane and Wayne, and sister-in-laws Betty Blackbourn and Janet Blum.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 10:30 am at the Bethlehem E & R Church in Lancaster, with Rev. Mark Dieter officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends called on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 4 to 8 pm at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster, and after 9:30 am on Wednesday at the church.

Thomas Jenson

Thomas Roy Jenson, age 87, formerly of Platteville, died peacefully on December 8, 2014, at Our House Memory Care Assisted Living in Whitewater, due to a long battle with Alzheimers. Thomas was the son of Thomas Sr. and Hazel (Chritton) Jenson, born November 27, 1927, at their rock home in Willow Springs Township of Lafayette County. He graduated from Belmont High School. On September 26, 1953, he married Bernice Frontz at the Peace Lutheran Church in Belmont. They farmed in the Town of Kendall until retiring and moving to Platteville in 1988. They enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States. Thomas was a 4-H leader of the First Capitol 4-H club and a member of the Pecatonica River Valley Coon Hunters Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, playing cards, and putting puzzles together.

Survivors include his daughter, Karen (George) Troupis of Lake Geneva; son, Todd (Ramona) Jenson of Monroe; daughter-in-law, Peggy Jenson of Footville; five grandsons, Alex, Nicholas and Andrew Troupis and Thomas and Mark Jenson; sisters-in-law, Naomi Jenson of Shullsburg and Mary June Frontz and Helen Frontz of Belmont; brother-in-law, Harvey (Carol) Frontz of Belmont, plus several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bernice; a son, Donald Jenson; brother, Lewis Jenson; sister, Helen (Hollis) Garthwaite; brothers-in law, Gerald Frontz, Russell Frontz; and sister-in-law, Margaret (Ken) Slater.

Funeral services were Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Martin Schwartz Funeral Home in Platteville, with Pastor Jeffrey Pedersen of the Lutheran Church of Peace officiating. Burial was in the Belmont Cemetery, Belmont. Family and friends called on Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of services at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Marcella C. Jerrett

Marcella C. Jerrett, 82, of Lancaster, died July 17, 2011, at Orchard Manor in Lancaster.

She was born on October 13, 1928, a daughter of John and Katherine (Kirschbaum) Kipper. On November 25, 1953, Marcella was united in marriage to Fredrick L. Jerrett at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster.

Marcella is survived by her children, Bernard Jerrett of Lancaster, Dean (Kathy) Jerrett of Millville, Leonard (Kim) Jerrett of Lancaster, Rosemary Jerrett of Lancaster, Fredrick Jerrett Jr. of Prairie du Chien, Marie (Dean Lyons) Jerrett of Platteville, Laura (Mark) Reynolds of Lancaster, Robert (Kerry) Jerrett of Lancaster, and Edward Jerrett of Lancaster; twelve grandchildren, Jeremy and Jarred Reynolds and Jessica (Brad) Klaas, children of Laura & Mark Reynolds, Amandalyn and Wade Jerrett, children of Robert & Kerry Jerrett, Kyle (Desirae) Jerrett, son of Dean & Kathy Jerrett, Heather Bauer, Heidi (Doug) Adrian, Anthony and Jordan Jerrett, children of Leonard & Kim Jerrett, Angie (Ed) Hoffman and Eric Jerrett, children of Bernard Jerrett; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Norbert (Karen) Stoker; and nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Jerrett; her parents; sisters, Irene (Lee) Irish and Leona Stoker; brothers, LaVern (Helen) Kipper and Sylvester (Marjorie) Kipper.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster, with Father William Seipp celebrating the mass. Burial will be in St. Clement Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, July 20, at St. Clement Catholic Church. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Lancaster is serving her family.

Stanley "Buck" Jerrett

Stanley Buck Jerrett, age 91, of Lancaster, passed away with his family by his side on Friday, October 21, 2011. He was born on July 20, 1920, the son of Earl Sr. and Bertha (Dival) Jerrett. He attended Dyer School. Stanley served in Korea for one year. It was love at first sight when Stanley met his future wife Lila (Austin) at the Roller-skating Rink in Lancaster. They later were married in Platteville on December 24, 1945. Together they have been on the home farm for sixty-five years. He also worked for Briels of Fennimore, Finney and Wehrenberg of Lancaster and then retired after seventeen years with the Lancaster School District. Stanley served faithfully for over fifty years at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. He enjoyed farming with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Stanley had a great sense of humor that was enjoyed by everyone around him.

Surviving is his wife, Lila, three sons: Wayne (Pat) Jerrett, Roger (fianc Cheri Klaas) Jerrett, and Randy (Sharon) Jerrett; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Wieland; two sisters-in-law, Lorretta Muir and Janice Austin; many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mark; a daughter, Julie; and his brothers, Donald and Earl Jr. (Edna) Jerrett.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Fennimore with Larry McDaniel officiating. Private family burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Monday, October 24, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster.
